Bus Driver – Orkney (Kirkwall)

Location: Scott’s Road, Kirkwall, KW15 1GR

We are looking for qualified PCV licence holders to join as Bus Drivers in Orkney. This full-time, permanent role offers a pay rate of £14.60 per hour, with overtime paid at £16.50 per hour for hours worked over 42 each week. Typical annual earnings are around £31,400 based on a 43-hour working week, and the training rate is also £14.60 per hour. Shifts follow a rota pattern of any five days over seven, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for operating a modern fleet safely and professionally, ensuring smooth and reliable journeys for all passengers. You will provide excellent customer service by offering a warm welcome, answering questions, and creating a supportive and friendly environment, particularly for those who rely on bus services most.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid PCV licence, and have the right to work in the UK. A safe and courteous driving style, a positive and friendly attitude, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service are essential. You should also be reliable, adaptable, and willing to work as part of a supportive team.
